Mészáros Cabernet Franc 2022 (0,75 L)

Cabernet Franc, as a species of grapes, has its origins in Bordeaux, but it has been grown in Szekszárd, along with other Bordeaux species, for more than 120 years. In other countries it is only used as a cuvée component, rather than as a separate species. In Hungary, it found a new home in Szekszárd, and is being used as an independent raw material for excellent wines. The healthy and ripe grapes come from the hills embracing the city of Szekszárd, and are picked from vines with 1.5 kg load, pre-selected by green harvest (limited crop levels). The grapes are gently processed, which means the mesh is slightly macerated, and, as a result, strong tannins are not extracted, and our wine will be velvety and easily drinkable, subsequently aged in oak barrels. Spicy, elegant and intense on the nose, with cherry, sour cherry and black berries in its taste; it has a velvety effect on the palate, with a hint of chocolate and spices. It has a well-balanced and round structure, with its tannins nicely integrated. For the Classic Selection range, our basic philosophy is the creation of fruity, characteristic and easily drinkable wines targeting a wide range of consumers.
