Mészáros St Grál Kadarka Válogatás 2016 (0,75 L)

Kadarka is an indigenous species in the Szekszárd area, which once brought fame to the region. We grow this unique grape species, a red grape specialty of the wine region, on the gentle slopes of Szekszárd. The region was well-known for this species for centuries; it has recently lost in importance, but, today is the renaissance of Kadarka; it is increasingly popular and looked for. This is because of its uniqueness: it is only indigenous in Hungary, especially in Szekszárd, where an increasing number of people are attracted by the singularity and beauty of this species. Wine drinkers always want to taste new wines, and kadarka provides an excellent opportunity for this.

The healthy and ripe grapes come from the hills embracing the city of Szekszárd, and are picked from vines with 1.5 kg load, pre-selected by green harvest (limited crop levels). The grapes are gently processed, which means the mesh is slightly macerated, and, as a result, strong tannins are not extracted, and our wine will be velvety and easily drinkable, subsequently aged in oak barrels.

Characteristic kadarka from Szekszárd, with honey and spices on the nose and the unique flavours of kadarka; rich and warm, with many spices; a great experience on the palate.
