Tiffán's Carissimae Cuvée 2019 (0,75 L)

During the preparation of the grape planting at the Kopár vineyard, a soil working equipment dredged out a 1,2m x 0,8m piece of a Roman headstone. It honours a lady’s memory who died in 260 AD. There is a writing on it: „Luciae… candidae, coniugi carissimae…”. („To the beautiful Lucia, the dearest wife...”). As that man called his wife 1 800 years ago, so we call our wine Cuvée Carissimae, the Cuvée of the dearest. There is a writing on it: „Luciae… candidae, coniugi carissimae…”.
