Golden Kaan Chardonnay 2023 (0,75 L)

The Chardonnay by Golden Kaan from the Western Cape offers a bright golden yellow colour in the glass. The bouquet of this white wine from the Western Cape delights with notes of plum, plum, plum, shade morals and star fruit. The Chardonnay by Golden Kaan is perfect for all wine lovers who like as little sweetness as possible in the wine. However, it never appears sparse or brittle, but round and supple. The balanced fruit acid flatters the Chardonnay with velvety mouthfeel, without letting it miss juicy liveliness at the same time. The finale of this maturable white wine from the Western Cape wine-growing region finally convinces with good reverberation.

Vinification

The balanced Chardonnay from Western Cape is based on grapes from the Chardonnay grape variety. After harvesting, the grapes immediately reach the winery. Here you are selected and gently ground. Fermentation is then carried out in a stainless steel tank at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by ageing for a few months on the fine yeast before the wine is finally bottled.

Food recommendation

This South African white wine should best be enjoyed chilled at 8 - 10°C. It goes perfectly with cabbage roulades, cod with cucumber and mustard vegetables or spinach gratin with almonds.
