Barons De Rothschild Lafite Blason d'Aussiéres 2019 (0,75 L)

The Blason d 'Aussières Corbières by Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) is a wonderful red wine cuvée from the Grenache, Syrah, Mouvedre and Carignan vineyards. The grapes grow in the French wine-growing region of Corbières in Languedoc.

This wine shines deep dark ruby red in the glass. Fine fruit after ripe wild berries and blackberries seduce the nose. On the palate you can feel juicy fruit nuances of raspberries, black cherries and blueberries. Add a fine spice of rosemary and thyme as well as opulent hints of cedar wood. The body of this French red wine is fleshy with a smooth structure and fine-grained tannins.

Vinification

According to Bordeaux tradition, a second wine is also produced at Château d 'Aussières. The grapes come from the first harvests or younger vines. These are also carefully sorted and only highly-ripe readings are used. After maceration and fermentation, they are carefully pressed onto the mash. About 20% of the wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels. The remaining wine continues to mature in a stainless steel tank.

Food recommendation

We recommend this dry red wine with French beef dishes or fine ossobuco. This wine should definitely be decanted 1 hour before enjoyment.
