Collection: Fortified wines
Wines are called fortified wines when, during their production (either during alcoholic fermentation or after fermentation), alcohol is added to them to increase their sugar and alcohol content. For quality fortified wines, wine distillate (brandy) is most often used.
Fortified wine is a translation of the English term "fortified wine" and the French "vin fortifié", which are widely used in professional circles worldwide.
