According to archival data, the Armani family winery, demonstrably founded in 1607, is a family business. They own estates in several regions, processing grapes in Trentino, three locations in Veneto, and Friuli. Their wines are all very clean, varietally characteristic, full-bodied, accompanied by the decent "coolness" typical of Friuli. They do not use barrels for the white wines, but they do use yeast strains selected and bred from the winery's own cellar for fermentation, which is why a microbiologist is also part of the Armani team.
