Dedicated to Calidonia Sergardi, who married Girolamo Bindi, creating an unbreakable alliance between the two families. This wine is a symbol of our past and our gratitude to all who have contributed to our present success.
After careful and precise selection of the grape bunches, the hand-harvested grapes are destemmed and gently pressed. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, where maceration on the skins lasts approximately 18–20 days, at a controlled temperature of 28–30 °C. Shortly after alcoholic fermentation, the wine is transferred to 42 hl barrels, where malolactic fermentation occurs. The wine, bottled on the estate, then remains in the cellar for further aging.
Its color is an intense ruby red. Its aroma reveals fruity and floral notes, complemented by spices and frankincense nuances. The taste is soft, elegant, and well-structured. The freshness, complexity, and graceful, silky tannins are the result of carefully selected Sangiovese grapes grown on Alberese and Galestro soils. The wine has a lively character with a long and persistent finish. It perfectly reflects the characteristics of the Mocenni terroir and the style of Chianti Classico Riserva.
