Chapel Down Rosé is a crisp, fresh, and elegant English sparkling wine with notes of redcurrant, citrus, and wild strawberry. It is the epitome of the English summer – delicate and feminine. This fine rosé sparkling wine is a classic blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Pinot Blanc, with aromas of redcurrant, strawberry, and rosehip. Pinot Blanc contributes a distinct floral delicacy to this sparkling wine.

To ensure they use consistently high-quality fruit for this sparkling wine, it is sourced from a collection of vineyards in Kent, Sussex, and Essex. Grapes are predominantly grown on single and double guyot pruning systems, on varied soils including chalk, clay, and loam, to best suit the grape varieties grown.

Winemaking Chapel Down Rosé undergoes cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks followed by partial malolactic fermentation. It is then aged for 6 months in tank on fine lees before bottling, followed by an average of 18 months further ageing on lees in bottle. The inclusion of early pick Pinot Noir provides a key point of differentiation. Chapel Down has favoured this variety for the Rosé of the sparkling wine, in addition to colour, and it contributes to the almost weightless character.
