Cold Creek, planted in 1972, is one of Washington's oldest and most prestigious vineyards. The soil is sandy and gravelly, phylloxera cannot thrive here, so the vines do not need to be grafted onto resistant rootstock, unlike in most wine regions of the world.

The yield is concentrated, the production is restrained, and the result is: dark-colored, aromatic red wines. The Cabernet Sauvignon is a powerful, intense delight, abundant in blackcurrant and blackberry notes.
