It can only be made in exceptionally good vintages, after multiple selections of the bunches and barrels. Such was the hot year of 2012, during which a rich, dense, cherry, and paprika-spicy, concentrated wine was born. It was aged for over a year, mostly in pre-filled barrique barrels and in medium-toast barrels from various cooperages. It is very important that the barrel notes complement and beautifully integrate into the wine's flavor profile.
