In the glass, it presents a clear, darker-than-usual color. Varietally characteristic aroma, with some floral notes, but primarily red berries, currants, and raspberries come to the forefront. On the palate, the tartness of black berries and the contrast of rosehip make it playful. This Portugieser is more distinctive, deeper, and more concentrated than usual, with slightly more tannin than average, yet still well-balanced.
It's excellent as an accompaniment to lively conversations with friends, as well as with a light dinner.
