TOKAJI PROTECTED DESIGNATION OF ORIGIN DRY WHITE WINE

The 45-year-old average age vines of the historic, 1st class Becsek vineyard have gifted us this confident Hárslevelű for the 11th time. Its aroma is dominated by green apple, with yellow-fleshed watermelon and chestnut. On the palate, plum and gooseberry are prominent, with chestnut returning here as well. A vibrant and expressive terroir wine.

Vintage February was wetter, and spring was cooler than average, so flowering arrived 2-3 weeks late. Due to this, the dry harvest only began in mid-September with the picking of Zéta. The warm, dry weather, early water loss from the berries, and early botrytization all posed challenges in determining the harvest days. Although yields were smaller, excellent fruit was produced, and thanks to the high acidity, the wines are characterized by outstanding aging potential.
