Made from 100% Primitivo grapes in the Manduria region of Puglia. The estate is located on the border of the municipality of Maruggio, and the raw material comes from vines cultivated in the ancient "Alberello Pugliese" method, harvested from at least 60-year-old vines.

A very high yield restriction of 0.6 kg/vine is applied. The grapes are harvested late (compared to the typical ripening time for Primitivo), in mid-September, when the berries are already slightly shrivelled (appassimento). The grapes are carefully hand-selected before pressing. Aged for 10 months in small oak barrels.

Characterized by a deep ruby red color, purple rim, aromas of exotic spices, dark chocolate, and incredible richness of aroma and flavor. On tasting, it shows extraordinary balance, silky, soft tannins, and raisin notes. Coffee, dried plum, and an extremely long finish characterize it.a
