One of the oldest grape varieties, Burgundy's main white grape. It well conveys the terroir; relatively neutral, its varietal character can be detected in discreet apple and yellow fruit aromas. It actually originates from the Loire, from where it spread to Champagne. In Hungary, it is grown on nearly 2200 hectares.
