As a varietal, Malvasia is probably not unknown to those who vacation in Italy or Croatia, as it is offered with grilled fish on almost every restaurant terrace there. These are usually full-blooded Mediterranean white wines, slightly salty, thick, alcoholic, sometimes with hints of rosemary. Well, this wine is completely different! Lively, youthful, fresh, and vibrant. It's like they piled up elderflower, iris, Bartlett pear, Muscat grapes, and white-fleshed peach. The sip is energetic, the acids are wonderfully refreshing, while the aromatic notes flash again. Chilled, it simply goes well with anything you would drink white wine with.

Biodynamic wine, with minimal sulfur content and spontaneous fermentation.

In Abruzzo, located in the middle of the Italian boot, the Orsogna winery gradually transitioned to biodynamic viticulture years ago. Today, it is officially recognized and certified, as indicated on the label (Demeter). Beyond excluding chemicals from plant protection and winemaking, this essentially represents an approach, a kind of creed, in which the grapes are cultivated and the wine is made throughout the growing season. This includes biodiversity, preserving terroir or local traditions and recipes, minimizing water usage, employing mechanical pest control techniques instead of chemical ones, and avoiding mechanical disturbance of the soil. It is based on very strict rules and is consistently monitored.

Orsogna is recognized as the largest organic and biodynamic estate in the world (!), with 85% of its 1200 ha total cultivated area being organic and 35% certified biodynamic by Demeter.
