Grape variety: Corvina, Molinara and Rondinella Amarone, the flagship of the Righetti company, is made using the ancient drying method.
PRODUCTION AREA: Veneto – Valpolicella
WINEMAKING: From October to March, the best bunches of Corvina, Molinara, and Rondinella varieties are dried in special rooms where proper humidity and ventilation allow optimal dehydration of the grapes. After pressing and fermentation, the wine is aged for three years in oak barrels and casks. Refinement then continues in the bottle for about 12 months.
Organoleptic characteristics: Colour: Very intense ruby red appearance. Nose: Fruity, well-integrated with subtle vanilla notes. Palate: Dominated by cherry, raspberry, spice, and tobacco. Extremely well-balanced.Food pairings: Pairs well with savoury dishes, grilled or roasted red meats, game, and salty and slightly spicy cheeses (e.g., Parmesan). Also excellent as a glass after a meal.
