Its aroma is a pleasant blend of fruitiness and spice. It is a wonderfully structured wine with vibrant freshness, featuring notes of white-fleshed peach and ripe plum.
Its balanced sweetness is beautifully complemented by pleasant acidity, paired with a lively fresh sensation and a long finish. The summer was hot, so we started picking aszú berries in early September and continued this in ideal autumn weather. October, in particular, provided three textbook-perfect weeks, which were excellent for the development of high-quality aszú berries: with early morning fog, afternoon sunshine, and wind.
The aszú berries were steeped for two days in fermenting must. After pressing and fermentation, the aszú wine was aged in our traditional cellar in 300 and 500-liter Zemplén oak barrels for more than 2 years. This was followed by the final blending in the spring of 2020. Recommended serving temperature is 11-13 C°. It is an excellent accompaniment to sweet and spicy Asian cuisine, foie gras, and fruity desserts.
