Aszú wines with vineyard designation are only produced in exceptionally good vintages. The 2017 harvest from the Betsek vineyard was perfectly suited for this.

The summer was hot, so we began picking the aszú berries in early September and continued throughout the ideal autumn weather. October, in particular, provided three textbook weeks, perfect for the development of high-quality aszú berries: with early morning fog, afternoon sunshine, and wind.

The exceptionally high-quality aszú berries were macerated for two days in fermenting must. After pressing and fermentation in barrels, the aszú wine was aged for two years in Zemplén oak barrels in our historic cellar. This wine is typically heavy and spicy. Its aroma is dominated by floral honey and apricot. Its taste features grapefruit, orange peel with spicy notes, and a long finish. We recommend serving it at 11-13°C.
