Aszú wines named after single vineyards (dűlő) are only produced in exceptionally good vintages. The 2017 harvest from the Nyulászó vineyard was perfectly suited for this. The summer was hot, so we started picking the aszú berries at the beginning of September and continued this throughout the ideal autumn weather. October, in particular, provided three textbook-perfect weeks, which were ideal for the development of high-quality aszú berries: with early morning fog, afternoon sunshine, and wind.

The outstanding quality aszú berries were soaked for two days in fermenting must. After pressing and fermentation in barrels, the aszú wine was aged for two years in Zemplén oak barrels in our historical cellar. Thanks to the mineral composition of the Nyulászó vineyard, its wine is characterized by an elegant acid structure, rich flavor, harmony, and infinite length. Its aroma is perfumed, dominated by ripe peach. In its taste, apricot and orange peel are reflected with spicy notes. We recommend serving it at 11 – 13°C.
