The Szepsy family, whose legacy now spans 17 generations, is synonymous with Tokaj's great wine tradition and the presentation of terroir-focused, unadorned winemaking. The south-facing Nyúlászó vineyard, located on the outskirts of Mád, with its old vines rooted in rhyolite tuff, stony, and clayey soil, endows the wine made from it with extremely unique minerality and acidity.

After careful manual harvesting, the fruit was gently pressed, then the must spontaneously fermented in wooden barrels and aged for 8 months in first-fill Hungarian and French oak. Its aroma and taste are filled with white-fleshed fruits – Williams pear, green apple, peach, grapefruit – and spring flowers, alongside which discreet barrel spice notes emerge.

The palate is vibrant, fresh, and full-bodied, with a long, mineral, and salty finish. The grape and the volcanic terroir play the starring role. It is a young and extremely promising wine that can reveal an even more complex character years from now.
