Barons de Rothschild Lafite Amancaya Gran Reserva 2020 (0,75 L)

The Amancaya by Bodegas Caro is an expressive, characterful and seductive red wine cuvée from the Argentine wine region of Mendoza. This red wine is vinified from the Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon grape varieties.

This wine appears in the glass in a deep dark red with violet reflections. In the nose, floral lilac and violet tones, nuances of elderberries and blueberries, as well as a touch of sweet vanilla, combine with a noble toast nuance. On the palate, this Argentinian red wine dominates the fiery personality of Malbec and offers a rich, fresh berry fruit.

The Amancaya is considered Caro's little brother, the grand vin of bodega, and combines Argentine character with Bordelaiser style.

Vinification

The harvested material is immediately taken to the wine cellar of the Bodegas Caro. There, the berries are first fermented in stainless steel tanks. Once the fermentation process is complete, the Amancaya matures for 12 months in barriques (20% of which are new wood) and therefore offers a rich, fresh berry fruit without over-coated wood tones.

We recommend this dry red wine from Argentina with short-fried meat as well as with stews and roasting.
