Escudo Rojo Escudo Rojo Syrah 2021 (0,75 L)

This wine comes from the Maipo valley 30 km south of Santiago. Nestling at the foot of the Andes Mountains, it is valley with a long winegrowing tradition which offers some of the best conditions for cultivating Syrah.

Aspect

Very intense, deep violet, bright

Nose

Deeply intense and fruity, with notes of ripe black cherry, liquorice and spicy aromas of pink peppercorn, combined with soft pastry notes imparted by oak ageing. 

Palate

Starts out superb with lots of volume and well-balanced acidity. The tannins are present but very refined and elegant. Fruity aromas, such as dried fruit and liquorice, follow through to the aftertaste, accompanied by excellent acidity and a long finish.
