Barons De Rothschild Lafite Légende Bordeaux 2020 (0,75 L)

The Légende R Rouge by Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) is an impressive, elegant and expressive red wine cuvée from the French Bordeaux wine-growing region, vinified from the Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grape varieties.

In the glass, this wine shimmers in a  deep ruby red with carmine red highlights. The elegant bouquet smells of ripe berries - especially red currant and raspberry) and is surrounded by a fine oak note. The round body on the palate of this French red wine convinces with firm, silky tannin and a wonderful fresh, fruity personality. The fruit fullness is also present in the long-lasting finale.

Vinification

After harvesting the Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes, the grapes are immediately taken to  the wine cellar of Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite). The berries are first fermented in stainless steel tanks. Once the fermentation process is complete, this red wine matures for 9 months in stainless steel tanks (60%) as well as in oak barrels (40%).

Food recommendation

This dry red wine from France is an excellent accompaniment to roasted beef, lamb and game in dark sauce and savoury side dishes.
