Bibi Graetz Casamatta Bianco Bio IGT 2022 (0,75 L)

In Italian, the literal translation of Casamatta is "crazy house". This moniker, self-proclaimed by artistic winemaker, Bibi Graetz, himself is an homage to his home. Casamatta Rosso speaks of the freshness, transparency and strength of the red fruit of Sangiovese. Entirely vinified in steel to preserve its vibrant and playful character.

This blend comprised of Vermentino, Trebbiano, and Moscato is fresh and aromatic with hints of green apple and florals. Selected from 15 year old vines trained in the Guyot and Spurred Cordon method. Aged only in stainless steel tanks. Bright, fruity aromas of lemon zest and green apple. The Vermentino brings clean, fresh acidity with structure; Moscato adds floral notes; and Trebbiano balances and smooths this wine giving way to a medium-bodied mouthfeel.

“When I drink this blend I’m immediately projected on the Argentario, I can feel sea breeze, soil, sun and perfumes of Maremma wine region. The first impression I have is the zesty aroma, orange and peach flowers, then citrus and acidity from Vermentino, pear, exotic fruits, balance and body from Trebbiano and Ansonica.”
