Ferro 2021 – Toscana I.G.T.

Ferro is a distinctive wine made exclusively from 100% Petit Verdot, sourced from a tiny, one-hectare vineyard overlooking the city of Florence. Planted on clay-limestone soil, the 20-year-old vines grow on southwest-facing slopes. Harvesting and bunch selection are carried out entirely by hand, with the utmost care.

Fermentation occurs spontaneously in stainless steel tanks, preserving the wine’s natural character. The wine is then aged for 30 months in new barrique barrels, followed by an additional 6 months of bottle aging to achieve its full complexity and depth.

The wine has a deep purple color. On the nose, it offers notes of ripe cherry, orange blossom, and sherry, with a refined eucalyptus finish. The palate is full-bodied and harmonious, enriched with mature green pepper and cocoa nuances, and structured by silky, elegant tannins.
