Marchesi de Frescobaldi Castiglioni Chianti 2022 (0,75 L)

The Castiglioni Chianti DOCG by Tenuta Castiglioni by Frescobaldi  is presented in the glass in a strong ruby red with violet reflections. On the nose, this characterful Chianti unfolds aromas of red fruits, cherry, strawberry and raspberry, accompanied by rose and violet. On the palate it is soft, optimally balanced, with a beautiful, well-integrated acidity. The fruity finish is sustainable and harmonious, with a long, pleasant aftertaste.

Production

For this uncomplicated Chianti, Sangiovese and a small proportion of Merlot are vinified together. After mash fermentation for 11 days, malolactic fermentation and ageing in stainless steel tanks for a period of 6 months with micro-oxygen enrichment immediately follows.

Food pairing

This easy to drink Chianti with its strong character is the ideal accompaniment to tasty pasta dishes such as pappardelle with meat sauce, roast chicken, chopped beef with vegetables and medium-ripe cheeses.
